The Rundown

San Francisco Golf Club is one of golf's toughest tickets. The ultra-exclusive country club possesses a rich history and is San Francisco's premier golf club. The club originally was located at the Presidio before finding its current location. The golf course was designed by A.W. Tillinghast and is his only design in California. The bunkering was later updated by the legendary Billy Bell who was best known for working with George Thomas. Many regard the front nine at San Francisco Golf Club as one of the finest nine holes in the world. The golf course possesses no weak holes that are packed with strategy and is supremely walkable.
