Designed by the great Harry Colt in 1911, Toronto Golf Club was considered Canada's first great golf course. The Toronto Golf Club has been able to maintain Colt's original routing and clubhouse over the years, giving it an unmatched old school feel. Colt's design principles centered around getting golfers off to a good start with easier opening holes, utilizing all of a golfer's clubs, and allowing the land to dictate the routing. Toronto G.C. serves as a prime example where Colt was able to achieve these principles.
