PGA Tour wild child Grayson Murray leads the Valero Texas Open after shooting a 5-under 67 on Thursday. Murray's talent is supreme. He's prodigious off the tee, and his putter can get scorching hot. As a rookie, Murray captured a win at the Barbasol. In his second season, Murray has been much less controversial than his tumultuous rookie season. It's good to see Murray let his game do the talking. 

One shot back of Murray is a group of five players that includes Chesson Hadley, Billy Horschel, Ryan Moore, Keegan Bradley and Matt Atkins. Full scores

In Oxford...Mississippi

Conner Godsey and Sebastian Munoz each shot 5-under 67s to share the lead at the Web.com Tour's North Mississippi Classic. Trailing the pair at 5-under is veteran Roland Thatcher at 4-under and a group of 4 at 3-under that includes Aussie Open champ Cameron Davis and Mark Hubbard. Full scores

Inbee Park leads the LPGA's LA Open after shooting a 5-under 66 to hold a one-shot lead over Marina Alex, who is trailed by a group of 7 at 3-under. That group includes the likes of Pernilla Lindberg, Lexi Thompson and Moriya Jutanugarn. The LPGA is certainly playing the most interesting golf course of the week at the strategy-packed Kyle Phillips redesign, Wilshire C.C. Full scores
