Off to Malaysia
This week, the PGA Tour heads to Southeast Asia for the CIMB Classic at newly named TPC Kuala Lumpur. While the CIMB’s field is small (78 players), it boasts one of the strongest of the wrap-around portion of the PGA Tour season with 10 players in the top 30 of the world golf rankings. The headliners include world number 6 Adam Scott, Ryder Cup hero Patrick Reed, the Spanish Armada Sergio Garcia and Rafa Cabrera-Bello and defending champion Justin Thomas.
What happened in 2K15
After a season of close misses, Justin Thomas finally found the winner's circle, though it wasn’t easy. Thomas looked to be in control late during Sunday’s round but found the water on his second shot at the par-4 14th, leading to a double bogey and losing control of the championship. Thomas quickly rebounded to birdie 15,16 and 17 to head into 18 with a 1-shot lead over Adam Scott. On 18, Thomas was able to make a 6-foot par putt to earn his first career victory.
